UAE Ambassador Meets Bangladeshi State Minister of Foreign Affairs

His Excellency Abdullah Ali Al Hamoudi, UAE Ambassador to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, met with His Excellency Shahriar Alam, State Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. During the meeting, both sides discussed strengthening and widening the horizons and areas of cooperation between the two countries, as well as a number of issues of common interest. They also talked about consolidating trade and economic cooperation, food security, renewable energy and participation in COP28.

His Excellency Al Hamoudi examined the depth of relations between the UAE and Bangladesh in all fields, stressing that there are many opportunities to enhance cooperation between the two countries in areas of common interest.

For his part, His Excellency Alam praised the strong and deep-rooted bilateral relations between the two countries and the constructive cooperation at all levels, stressing keenness to strengthen collaboration in a manner that serves the common interests of the two countries and peoples.

UAE President holds phone call with Russian President, discusses bilateral relations and international developments

UAE welcomes political agreement in Sudan

The UAE has welcomed the agreement of an initial political framework reached by Sudanese parties to complete the transitional period in a way that enhances the stability and prosperity of the Republic of Sudan.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) affirmed that the agreement is an essential step towards establishing a civilian-led government. The Ministry also expressed its wishes for success for the Sudanese parties in completing the transitional period.

The Ministry expressed appreciation for the efforts of members of the tripartite mechanism group, members of the Quad, European Union, and Troika to garner support for this framework agreement and ensure consensus between parties to achieve the aspirations of the Sudanese people for stability, development, and prosperity.

The Ministry underscored the UAE’s keenness to deepen cooperation with the Republic of Sudan in all fields and strengthen ties between the two countries and peoples.

Moreover, the Ministry affirmed the UAE’s aspiration for a peaceful and successful political transition in Sudan in a way that enhances its stability and brings prosperity and development to its people.

UAE President receives phone call from Pakistani PM

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received today a telephone call from Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, during which he congratulated His Highness Sheikh Mohamed on the UAE’s 51st National Day.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan also wished the UAE and its people further development and prosperity.

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his thanks and appreciation for Sharif’s kind gesture and the sincere feelings he showed towards the UAE and its people, and his wishes for further progress and prosperity for Pakistan and its people.

UAE Ambassador Attends Inauguration of President of Kazakhstan

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Ariqi, UAE Ambassador to Kazakhstan, attended the inauguration of His Excellency Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for a new presidential term. The ceremony was held in the capital, Astana.

His Excellency Al Ariqi conveyed the greetings of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as well as their wishes to His Excellency for continued success and further progress and prosperity for the Kazakh people.

For his part, His Excellency Tokayev conveyed his greetings to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and expressed his wishes for the people of the UAE to achieve further growth and prosperity.

UAE Ambassador Presents Credentials to President of India

His Excellency Dr. Abdul Nasser Al Shaali presented his credentials as UAE Ambassador to India to Her Excellency Droupadi Murmu, President of the Republic of India, during a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace.

During the meeting, H.E. Al Shaali conveyed the greetings of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as well as their wishes to Her Excellency Murmu and the people of India for further development and prosperity.

In turn, Her Excellency Murmu conveyed her greetings to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and expressed her wishes for the people of the UAE to achieve further growth and prosperity.

Her Excellency Murmu also wished His Excellency Al Shaali success in his efforts to enhance ties between the two countries while highlighting her country’s readiness to support him in his duties.

For his part, His Excellency Al Shaali expressed his pride at representing the UAE in the Republic of India and his keenness to continue developing bilateral relations in key fields to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two countries.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations in order to achieve the aspirations of the two countries and peoples.

MoFAIC receives credentials copy from the new Senegal Ambassador

H.E. Abdulla Mohamed Alblooki, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Protocol Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation received a copy of the credentials of H.E. Babacar Matar Ndiaye, Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal to the UAE.

Alblooki wished the new Ambassador success in the performance of his duties and in enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the UAE and his country.

The newly appointed Senegal Ambassador expressed his pleasure at representing his country in the United Arab Emirates, which enjoys a prestigious regional and international position under the visionary policy of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

HE Al Sayegh Discusses Strengthening Relations with Bangladeshi Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs

His Excellency Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, met with Her Excellency Sheikh Hasina Wazed, Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and His Excellency Dr. Abul Kalam Abdul Momen, Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of the 22nd session of the Ministerial Council of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA), hosted in the capital, Dhaka.

During the two meetings, His Excellency Al Sayegh discussed cooperation between the UAE and Bangladesh and ways to enhance ties to achieve the common interests of the two countries, particularly in the economic and commercial fields, renewable energy, food security, and aviation. They also discussed supporting partnerships between various institutions in the two countries.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed receives Somalia’s foreign minister

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has met with Abshir Omar Jama, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

During the meeting, which took place in Abu Dhabi, the sides discussed means of enhancing ties between their countries.

They also exchanged views a number of regional and international issues of common concern.

Sheikh Abdullah welcomed Jama’s visit, and highlighted the brotherly ties that bind the UAE and Somalia, and their eagerness to boost their cooperation, to further their common interests and support efforts to achieve peace, stability and drive development in Somalia.

For his part, the Somalian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed his appreciation for the UAE’s ongoing support of Somalia and its people, wishing for the UAE continued progress and prosperity.

He also affirmed that his country is keen on boosting its cooperation with the UAE in all fields, lauding the UAE’s leading status regionally and globally.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed honours retirees of Foreign Ministry

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has honoured a group of retirees from the Ministry and awarded them commemorative shields and certificates of appreciation in celebration of their sincere efforts in serving the nation.

The honouring ceremony, which was held at the Ministry’s headquarters, was attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State; and a number of officials.

On the occasion, Sheikh Abdullah said that this celebration of the retirees constitutes a message of appreciation and gratitude for their sincere national efforts that have reinforced the successes of Emirati diplomacy and fostered the UAE’s distinguished reputation at the regional and global levels.

“On this day, we reaffirm our pride in your accomplishments throughout your inspiring career that has enriched Emirati diplomacy. You have succeeded in representing our country at various regional and international forums, with tremendous efforts to consolidate the country’s global reputation and highlight its development achievements,” Sheikh Abdullah added.

He stated that their outstanding services to the homeland will always be appreciated and respected, stressing that they are national models for the youth and future generations.
