Sports Minister Chairs 46th Session of Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports

Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Minister of Sports, chaired the 46th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports in Jeddah today. Arab ministers of youth and sports, along with senior officials, were in attendance.

Upon assuming the presidency of the meeting, the Minister of Sports delivered a speech in which he welcomed the participants and expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH the Crown Prince for their support and interest in the development of young Arab men and women. Prince Abdulaziz said: “The Arab world has effective leaders who lead us towards further development, renaissance, and progress and this motivates us to exert more efforts to empower and motivate young people and give them all means for success and distinction at all levels, and at the sports level in particular.”

The attendees were presented with visual presentations on various sports and youth programs in several countries, including the recent sporting events hosted by the Kingdom and the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup in Basra, Iraq. The meeting also included a closed session, during which the ministers of youth and sports discussed multiple topics and made several decisions, including the approval of holding the Arab Sports Games in Algeria in 2023 and the establishment of various youth programs and activities in several Arab countries.
