Ambassador Ala presents credentials to Secretary-General of Arab League

Syrian Ambassador Hussam Eddin Ala, presented his credentials to the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit as a permanent representative of Syria to the League.

Following the meeting, Ambassador Ala made a remark, stressing the importance of cooperation and coordination between Syria and the Arab countries to address the challenges facing the Arab nation and its countries.

He pointed out the resumption of Syria’s participation in the meetings of the Arab League will contribute to strengthening this cooperation to serve the higher Arab issues and the interests of the member states.

Ala indicated that the repeated Zionist attacks on the occupied Palestinian territories and in the occupied Syrian Golan constitute one of the most prominent issues that require the strengthening of joint Arab cooperation and coordination.

President Bashar al-Assad issued the Decree No. 126 for the year 2023, which stipulates naming Ambassador Hussam Eddin Ala, as permanent representative of the Syrian Arab Republic to the League of Arab States (LAS).

Syria, Iran discuss economic cooperation

The participants in the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, discussed a number of issues related to facilitating trade exchange, such as legislative legal systems in customs, customs duties, standard specifications, banking and financial relations, the possibility of creating joint free zones between the two countries, and the establishment of specialized exhibitions and direct sales in Iran with the aim of introducing the Iranian consumer to Syrian product.

The Iranian ambassador in Damascus indicated that the Syrian and Iranian governments focused on strengthening cooperation and creating the legal infrastructure for joint economic work and giving the private sector the opportunity to contribute to solving many economic problems in the two countries.

Bus and railway stations are working in normal mode in Voronezh, Kaluga and Lipetsk

All transport restrictions in Russia’s Voronezh, Kaluga and Lipetsk region have been lifted, including those on highways, Russian authorities said on Sunday.

“Lipetsk district government announced that bus and railway stations have resumed working in normal mode in all directions in the district. Tickets are on sale, all destinations are on schedule while some trips have been canceled by transport companies,” RT reported.

“We have decided to lift the restrictions on private vehicles,” said the governor of Kaluga Oblast, Vladislav Shabsha “provided that those on the movement of trucks and buses will be lifted during the day, in coordination with the security services.”

In Voronezh, the authorities confirmed that the bus stations in the province are operating normally and on schedule.

Syrian armed forces, in cooperation with Russian Air Force, destroyed terrorist headquarters, depots and drone launching sites in Idleb countryside, including weapons, ammunition and drones, and eliminated tens of terrorists and injured others.

Defense Ministry said in statement that In response to attacks carried out by armed terrorist groups ,during the past few days ,on Hama and Lattakia countryside, causing the death of number of civilians and material damage to People’s property , the armed forces carried out several operations , in cooperation with Russian Air Force, targeting terrorists’ headquarters and depots in Idleb countryside, in addition to launching sites for drones, destroying those headquarters, including weapons, ammunition and drones, killing dozens of terrorists and injuring others.

The ministry noted that a number of leaders of terrorist groups were killed, including Abd al-Karim Abu Dawud al-Turkistani, Saif Allah Abu Abd al-Haq al-Turkistani, Mustafa Sheikh al-Sit, Abd al-Rahman Saadoun, Abu Karrar, Muhammad Saeed Nasuh, Radwan Ma’tarawi and Mahmoud Sheikh al-Hara.

Palestinian Officials Appreciate Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program’s Invitation to Palestinians to Perform Hajj

The head of the Palestinian mission, representative of the Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Khalil Al-Rifai, appreciated the Kingdom’s hosting families of martyrs, prisoners, and wounded Palestinians in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Hajj Guests Program, stressing the strong ties between the Kingdom and Palestine.

Munqith Abu Atwan, director of the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority, expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince for their Islamic role in inviting the Palestinian families to perform the Hajj rituals and for the joy they brought into their hearts, appreciating the role of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and its supervision of the program in providing best services and warmly welcoming the Palestinian pilgrims since their arrival in the Kingdom.

For his part, the Director of the Industrial Islamic Orphanage Institution in Jerusalem, Hassan Tahboub, thanked the Kingdom for the excellent care and great efforts it provides and harnesses annually for pilgrims worldwide.

Over 72,000 Pilgrims Receive Medical Care in Makkah, Madinah

A total of 72,992 male and female pilgrims have received medical services in hospitals and medical centers of Makkah and Madinah throughout Dhul Qaeda and until the 5th of Dhul Hijjah, 1444 AH.

The pilgrims have received specialized and qualitative medical care, the Ministry of Health said, noting that the provided services included conducting 19 open-heart surgeries and 149 cardiac catheterizations.

Services also included conducting 348 dialysis sessions, and 29 endoscopy operations, the ministry said, adding that 1,449 male and female pilgrims have been admitted to hospitals and 697 patients have benefited from the virtual healthcare services.

During this Hajj season, the ministry has prepared its health institutions to provide the required treatment services to the pilgrims through 32 hospitals and 140 health centers with around 32,000 healthcare practitioners.

It has boosted the total bed capacity in its medical institutions to 6132 beds, while the number of intensive care beds totaled 761 beds and 222 beds have been allocated for heatstroke patients.

The ministry has also allocated medical care centers at the holy sites and Al-Haramain trains and intensified its efforts in the central area of the Grand Mosque.

Moreover, a fleet of 190 ambulances and 16 emergency centers have been deployed at the Jamarat bridge facilities in the holy site of Mina.

GCAM received through the I’lam platform more than 350 applications for permits needed by more than 1,200 media professionals, 81 television channels, 25 media production companies, 13 radio stations, 52 newspapers, and 52 international news agencies.
